Reclaim Your Smile with Dentures from Four Zero Five Dental Aesthetics.

Dentures are artificial teeth that can be removed and replaced, making it easy to take them out when needed. Patients may receive either full dentures, which replace all natural teeth, or partial dentures, which only replace some missing teeth. Full dentures are used when all natural teeth have been removed and are replaced with a complete set of dentures. There are two types of full dentures:

Treatment Options At Four Zero Five Dental Aesthetics

Patients interested in All-on-4 implants must have sufficient bone mass for successful bonding. If there is bone loss, a bone grafting procedure may be necessary before implant surgery. Your health and medical history will be assessed to ensure a successful procedure and healing process.

Conventional Full Dentures

After all teeth are removed, dentures are placed once the gum tissue has healed. It may take a few months for the gums to fully heal, during which time you will be without teeth.

Immediate Full Dentures

Your dentist will take measurements and fit the dentures specifically for your mouth before removing your teeth. The dentures will be placed immediately after the extraction to avoid any time without teeth. However, a follow-up visit will be necessary to refit your dentures as the jawbone may change shape during the healing process. Once your jaw has healed, the dentures will need to be adjusted for a secure fit.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are a good choice when not all of your teeth need to be removed. They work like a bridge but are not permanent in your mouth.

It may take some time to get used to your dentures. The base, which is flesh-colored, sits over your gums, and some people may initially find it bulky or feel like there isn't enough room for their tongue. You may also notice that the dentures feel loose at first, affecting how you eat and talk. However, with time, your mouth will adjust, and the dentures will feel more natural. While they may never feel completely comfortable, they are a much better option than having no teeth at all.

Even though dentures are not real teeth, it's important to care for them properly. Brush your dentures to remove plaque and food particles before taking them out. After removing them, soak them in room temperature water or a denture cleaning solution - never use hot water as it can damage the dentures. Handle your dentures carefully to avoid dropping them, and never try to adjust them yourself. If they feel uncomfortable or loose, always seek help from your dentist.
